We are sooo happy right now!!

Hi everyone in blogger land. Well we are still in California and still loving it. We are taking our time here and really enjoying the southern californianess of it all. This has been a great place for us to regroup after the holidays and re-asses ourselves (mind and body), our goals (the trip) and our mutual semi laziness. Hey when we're ready we'll go, i know this blog is entitled pan American trip and we haven't even left the US yet but like... WHAT EVER ya knaw its like totally cool man just chill. No we have not lost our minds, yes that is our new dog for real.
I have quite a few things to talk about and mention. First off After 2 months of stressing, losing sleep and quite frankly being tortured by the truck not being able to run on veg, we figured out the problem and i can now say (its been a little over a week) with certainty its good to go and running strong on WVO wooooooHooooo hoooray for us. I cant really convey how much of an issue it was to me but it was big, Kindra and i could not be happier, when we realized the problem, we were on our way to San Diego to look at dogs for adoption. Without getting into to much detail I'll just say it was a very simple and easy fix that was right under my nose but just couldn't see it(I'm sure everyone has had a similar experience in one way or another.)
Next we're just makn sure everything is ship shape w/ the other workings of the truck, timing belt, brakes, rear dif, valve cover gaskets etc, will all be done tomorrow by a reputable mechanic friend of charlie's (Kindras dad).
Wallace is our new attack dog, we thought we should better get some extra protection for going across the boarder so we got the most vicious and feared dog 15 pounds of the squishiest little cuddlymonkey you ever saw ...he's awsome.
Lastly I think last night was one of the happiest nights I've had in a while, the truck was running great, I'm enjoying 70 degree weather i have a beautiful girlfriend, the cutest watch dog and........I'm from Pittsburgh AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA CAN YOU SAY SUPER BOWL??!! OH YEAH ITS MY BIRTHDAY...PANTS PARTY...I MEAN...WHAT?
We are thinking of going back to Tuscon for a few weeks before we depart, so i can work a while and recoup some of the truck repair bills and vet/adoption cost for wallace. Of course i could'nt justify leaving before the super bowl now anyway. We are also thinking of doing a camping trip up to yosemity for kindras b-day also. Keep watching for updates and photos love yall,
john

Wallace

John and I would like to welcome a new member to our family! The wonderful... Wallace! He is 2 years old and we adopted him today from a great family: Sarah (mom), Jonathon, Lone, Hannah, and Nano (kids). We adore him already...we went for a long walk and gave him a bath!

California weather....ahhhhh!

John and I have been back in Cali for a week and a half now and are just hangin' out. Yep that's right... relaxing! We are of course still prepping for the trip, i.e.: John replaced the radiator in the truck, I have been working on getting copies of all of our documents, etc...

Our plan is to depart in a few weeks, but first I want to see some more family and friend here before we go. Next weekend my sister will be in town for our family reunion. I am so excited to see my family!

Last week we were able to hang out with my best friend Heather. We went to the flea market and Heather and John had fun at the sunglasses table. Heather took us to L.A. the next day and we drove all around the city, which was really great... it was like having our own personal tour guide! She was great! We even went to the farmer's market where her partner sells really great coffee. And you know we had to take John by the Hollywood stars... we had to stop at Chris Farley's star of course!

ciao for now, kindra
